Planning a wedding in the Lakes? I’m a Lake District based bridal hair and makeup artist, and I’ve spent 16 years helping brides look and feel like the most relaxed, natural version of themselves on their wedding day. Whether you’re marrying at a lakeside hotel, a fellside barn or a tiny chapel in the hills, I’ll come to you, so you can get ready somewhere calm without a trip to a salon.

My style is soft, textured hair and fresh, glowing skin that still feels like you. Most of my brides are used to wearing minimal makeup and low-fuss hair, so everything I create is designed to last the whole day without feeling heavy. I only use clean beauty, cruelty-free products made with natural ingredients, which is especially lovely if you have sensitive skin or simply care about what goes on your face.

A £500 minimum spend is required on the wedding day (not including trial or travel). There is a 30% deposit on booking.

For any more than 6 services (3 hair +3 makeup) a second artist will be required. This will be an additional £100. Travel costs may apply.

  • Yes, I come to you on the morning of your wedding, whether you’re getting ready at a hotel on the shores of Windermere, a barn near Keswick or a cottage in one of the quieter valleys. Travel is quoted separately from your hair and makeup, so I’ll include it in your quote once I know where you’ll be.

  • Absolutely. On my own I can look after up to six services, which works out as hair and makeup for you and two bridesmaids. For bigger parties, or if timings are tight, I’ll bring a second artist along so everyone is ready with time to spare. Each additional artist starts from £100.

  • The Lakes are a hugely popular place to get married, so dates in the busiest months go quickly. Most of my brides get in touch 12 to 18 months before the big day. If I’m free on your date, a 30% booking fee secures it, and I’ll guide you through everything from there, including arranging your trial.

  • A trial is optional, but I’d really encourage one. It’s a relaxed chance for us to meet, talk through the look you have in mind and see how your hair and makeup work together and wear through the day. I hold trials midweek, and the sweet spot is one to three months before your wedding. Trials are priced separately from your wedding day.

  • I do. Alongside the Lakes and the rest of Cumbria, I travel across Lancashire and cover weddings in Manchester and Cheshire too. Pop your venue in the contact form and I’ll let you know.
